Waar gebeurd.(a little something about Ton)

I was born on July 19, 1962 in Haarlem.
When I was 2 we went to live very far away in Badhoevedorp.
When I was 12 I wanted to be first mate in the major shipping I thought of that in Haarlem. Maybe my grandfather from Hilversum (3rd Mate seagoing) had some influence in it.
When I was old enough to study, I went to the Institute for Higher Technical and Nautical Education in Amsterdam.
I was still not wise enough, stopped early and moved to IJmuiden.
Later Stefan was born in Haarlem.
I worked in metal as CNC Operator in Landsmeer.
And in New Vennep.
And in Beverwijk.
In 1991 Lies returned to the Netherlands and I met her at the end of 1992 at the Plesman School, where Kim and Stefan were in the same class.
We went on holiday to Luxembourg, where I proposed to her early summer 1993.
Lies encouraged me to study and I moved from metal work in Beverwijk to IT in Haarlem.
The company in Haarlem almost went bankrupt and I found new IT work in Heemstede.
There I worked 36 hours in 4 days and the 5th day I went to Den Helder to study for Marine Engineering and Mate. I wanted to buy a ship of about 40m and then cruise with guests on the Baltic.
In IJmuidenI found work as a sailor for 5 months because i had hours to make for school. Unfortunately it was not possible to realize what was promised there. Meanwhile we also reckoned that the ship was not economically feasible.
After a half year search throughout Denmark we found Søndersognsvej 96 on Møn, a beautifull farm near the village of Stege. Here we can start a business. Guests can stay at the hotel and in the Bed & Breakfast, practice watersports on Stege Nor and on the beach in the south and of course there is cycling, hiking, nordic walking, golf and much more. All those things that we wanted to offer our guests on board, but now on land.

I assume that if we work hard and our guests are as happy as we have in mind that this is where it will be happening.
